Welcome!
We began this program by sudying the elements of photography and how they are used to create meaning. The students examined photographs by Diane Arbus, Cindy Sherman, The photographic exhibit, Family Ties, Wayne Miller, and Anthony Goicolea.
The students were then divided into pairs and assigned adjectives to use in taking portraits of their partners. We roamed around the school yard of IS 252, as they used their new vocabulary of photographic elements as guides for their portraits.
